Description
Simply add Cognac or Amaretto for a Lemon Balm & Sage Sidecar with Spiced Cherry Bitters
Historians are uncertain whether the Sidecar cocktail named for the motorcycle attachment originated in London, Paris or New Orleans. They agree, however, that it is one of the classic cocktails, with deep roots in mixology. A cocktail which traditionally balances the flavors of well-pedigreed liquors like Cognac and Cointreau with fresh lemon juice and a touch of sugar, this version ups the ante with a layer of citrus-mint from the lemon balm and herbal, eucalyptus notes from a generous sprinkling of sage. The aromatic and lingering top-notes from the spiced cherry bitters are enhanced by a well-integrated acidity which intensifies the drinkers experience.
